What will I be doing?

We are looking to source an exceptional Accessories Engineering Apprentice. This role involves learning to understand all aspects of the new assembly and industrial MRO processes based at our site in Fareham.
- Training is provided via PETA Training.
Training to be provided:
As an Accessories Engineering Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with us, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
Your Level 3 programme will include, a level 3 Engineering work-based qualification delivered by PETA, and day release for 24 months to complete a level 3 BTEC technical certificate. Overall duration will be 45 months.
About the role:
Joining the Safran team as an Accessories Engineering Apprentice, your role will be focused on learning and understanding the principles of assembly/test and inspection methodology & practices.
You will be involved in ensuring the products meet the requirements of customers, quality standards and airworthiness authorities.
As part of your job as an Accessories Engineering Apprentice, you will learn how to:
* Assemble, test and inspect parts to drawings, documentation, routings and required standards
* Use a variety of production/inspection methods and equipment during the assembly, test and repair life cycle
* Carryout all new production assembly and repair processes to have a full understanding of the area and business needs.
* Use a range of inspection methods and equipment to ensure product
* Conformity
* Develop an understanding of various different policies and procedures
* Maintain good housekeeping standards

What do you need from me?
An apprenticeship is all about learning new knowledge, skills and behaviours, therefore, to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.
To be considered for the role of Accessories Engineering Apprentice, you will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in completing work to a high-quality level.
You will also require the following skills and qualifications:
* 2 GCSE's at grade C (4) or above, or equivalents in maths and English are essential
* Enjoy problem solving
* Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Honest, reliable and trustworthy
* Self-motivated
* Ability to work with others
* Good communication skills
