This is a key post in the provision of administrative, clerical and reception support in antenatal maternity services.
The clerk is an important and integral part of the team and applicants must be willing and able to act on their own initiative and organise their workload effectively to ensure an optimum level of efficient clerical support to the community midwifery team in a timely and accurate manner.
The post holder will have contact with patients, carers and all members of the multi-professional team, as such providing front-of-house services for the department.
This is a Fixed Term Position for up to 6 Months

Education and qualifications
Essential
- Excellent standard of written and oral English
- Working towards NVQ 2 qualification or equivalent
Experience and knowledge
Desirable
- Previous work within hospital or caring environment, preferably with families, mothers and babies.
Skills and abilities
Essential
- Ability to respond to the demands of the clinical area and report anything untoward.
- IT skills are required in the role, and the post holder must be prepared to undertake the necessary training to support this.
