Therapy Services - Seddon Suite Specialist Rehabilitation Unit, St Helens Hospital
Permanent - Full time 37.5 hrs (part time considered)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join the Therapy Team on Seddon Suite Specialist Rehabilitation Unit at St Helens Hospital. Seddon Suite is part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN) providing specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults following traumatic injury or serious illness.

The lead Physiotherapist role is both clinical and non-clinical and therefore they should have excellent organisational, planning and time management skills to be able to work seamlessly between clinical and non-clinical duties. A flexible approach to day-to-day tasks is essential to meet the demands of the service. They must be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with our specialist interdisciplinary team of medics, nurses, psychologists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and rehabilitation co-ordinators in order to best meet the needs of the patient. Providing specialist clinical contribution to the patient journey with high level assessment and treatment planning for complex rehabilitation patients. An ability to think laterally to be creative and innovative with treatment planning is essential in this environment.
In addition to this the lead Physiotherapist is part of the clinical management group supporting the co-ordination of the ward and facilitating communication and developments between the variety professions on the unit.
The successful applicant must have strong leadership skills to be able to motivate the interdisciplinary team and provide supervision and development to the Specialist Physiotherapists.
You will have access to peer support and supervision from the highly skilled Clinical Lead therapy team on Seddon Suite and other peers across the network with opportunities to develop both clinically and non-clinically. The appropriate candidate will also be required to demonstrate a strong commitment to service development, audit, research and people management skills.
