As an Advisor in the Solutions Services Product Line Management team, you will play a crucial role in evangelizing Ciena's Route Switch services globally. You will enable sales and operations teams to maximize opportunities in the Route Switch space.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day portfolio inquiries and provide timely RFP assistance to support sales efforts.
- Develop, track, and manage offers through the New Service Introduction Process, ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with marketing to define and execute sales enablement and customer awareness plans for targeted offers.
- Develop KPIs relative to industry benchmarks, including business metrics, portfolio performance, and competitive offer assessment.
- Lead sales enablement of portfolio strategy with field teams to drive adoption of targeted offers and maximize revenue potential.
- Lead the offer innovation process to assess portfolio opportunities, pricing strategies, cost-saving measures, and market inflection points critical to Ciena’s business success.
- Attend product release calls to ensure the assigned portfolio is represented in new product releases.
- Perform customer requirements capture from delivery organizations, sales teams, and other sources. Integrate those requirements into services roadmap plans.
- Product Owner: Represent the product in services and services in product and cross-functional teams. Ensure all services function readiness and sign releases on behalf of the Director of Services.
- Services Solution Architect: Provide end-to-end vision, evangelism, and cohesive solution development. Drive New Service Introduction, understand business and services gaps, and provide sales feedback and enablement.
- Strategy Formation: Provide input to functional PLMs, bring revenue growth areas from product and industry side, and contribute to yearly strat-plans and revenue planning.
- Sales Enablement: Conduct power hours, vectors, blogs, and educate sales teams on available services and NSI. Act as the first point of contact for sales on solutions and facilitate partner integration and indirect sales.
- Industry Intelligence and Ciena Developments: Stay informed about product management, technology, and services-related industry updates.
- Represent services on all Optical-related IPTs and BDPs.
- Collaborate with SPLM product owners to create purpose-built offers for the packet portfolio.
- Enhance sales enablement collateral and ensure whole product offer logic is built into back-office systems.
- Stay updated on the full product and solution roadmap and work closely with IPT PM to ensure milestones are met and risks are resolved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent years of job-related industry experience.
- 5-7+ years of experience in telecommunications.
- 2+ years of experience in Product Line Management
- Experience with Optical networks in a PLM, support or product development capacity
