Assurance Manager on the

Sizewell C will create a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week being based out of out Bristol (Aztec West) office.
What you'll be doing
- Operate effectively and with authority in a complex matrix organisation
- Lead and create the definition of the necessary Quality Assurance and Governance processes.
- Influence key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Define the Quality Assurance requirements within individual functional areas including the mobilisation/procurement of external expertise where necessary.
- Be a key and pivotal contributor to overall strategy
- Be a recognised expert /advisor to others in all areas of assurance and governance
- Managing the Customer, Internal, IP and Stakeholder quality assurance and governance interfaces
- Submitting regular performance reports indicating any deviations, corrective action taken and escalation of issues.
- Provide a point of independent quality escalation for programme team members directly to the Alliance Director and/or SZC Client Programme Manager
- Responsible for managing third party suppliers to achieve the desired programme outcomes
- Attending and contributing the business PM Forum
- Supporting other functional areas in their associated deliverables e.g. quality input and evaluation of contracts and other associated scopes of work.
- In the areas associated with assurance, governance and quality, managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
- Establishing, hosting, supporting and chairing assurance and governance reviews at appropriate points during the programme.
- Ensure that industry and professional standards are flowed down, adopted and implemented across the works cope
- Develop and mentor staff ensuring succession planning is in place These accountabilities are not an exhaustive list of the responsibilities and activities that the job holder may be required to undertake.
Who we're looking for
- Diploma in Quality Management or degree level qualification.
- Lead Auditor qualification to ISO 9001.
- Chartered membership to an appropriate professional body, preferably Charted Quality Institute (CQI).
- A natural leader with the ability to inspire, motivate and influence people to drive the business forward and achieve business goals.
- Demonstrable experience as a senior Quality Leader who has managed similar large Quality teams, major projects, and budgets ideally within a highly regulated industry with muti-disciplined major contracts.
- Demonstrable track record of successful Quality Management within an Engineering or project delivery environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ideally ISO 19443:2018, with demonstrable understanding of managing CFSI risk
- Able to obtain a security clearance.
