Cloud Direct is seeking an Azure Practice lead. You will have extensive expertise in Azure with the skills to design, build and deliver Azure solutions. Cloud Direct focuses on Azure deployment and migration projects in mid-market and enterprise segments; this is a great opportunity for an individual looking for an exciting, challenging opportunity to lead a grow an Azure Practice with responsibilities from presales right through deployment, operations and support.
The role has technical leadership for how we develop our Azure Practice and capabilities. This will include what services we offer, developing the skills to deliver and support our practice offering, implementing with our practice team the training, systems, tools and solutions needed to achieve this. It is very much ‘hands- on’ with a lot of direct customer engagement to support Sales, initiate, lead and shape strategic programmes for clients. You will be working closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Solution managers to ensure the Practice integrates to the overall Cloud Direct service portfolio
What you'll do:
- Be the technical authority defining the Azure -based products and services we should bring to market, keep or retire. for Azure.
- Designing and project managing with other key stakeholders the introduction of our Azure products, associated training programmes, tooling, processes and procedures for the practice.
- Owning the key technical activity, we need to gain and maintain to be an Azure solution partner and acting as a lead for certification audits.
- Helping the professional services and operational teams identify and recruit the right level of resources to deliver our Azure practice services.
- Providing ultimate technical authority and quality assurance for Azure related projects, products and services.
- Acting as a key contributor to the group’s overall Azure roadmap both technically and from a market viewpoint and owning the relationship with Microsoft around the technical development of our Azure Practice
- Acting as the public face at a senior level for our Azure Practice with Microsoft, other ISVs, Customers and Prospects, including providing presales support to the sales team.
- From time to time taking the technical lead role on customer projects on a chargeable basis focusing on strategic value for customers.
- Keep up to date with technological advancements in Azure research and the Azure marketplace to ensure the best approaches are adopted to meet customer needs.
- Consider risks, regulatory requirements, ethics and constraints that may affect customer solutions.
What we're looking for:
- 10+ years' experience in Infrastructure and/or Application strategy, architecture, and consulting in the solutions arena.
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Azure design and implementation.
- Excellent Project Management, interpersonal and communication skills and relationship building.
- Experienced in discovery and analysis of operational cloud platforms for migration to Public Cloud and of reporting creation and migration.
- Experienced in leading migrations from on premise/Private Cloud environments to Public Cloud.
- Customer facing consulting experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Skilled in design, development, and deployment of complex Cloud solutions for customers.
- Willingness to travel for short periods to customer sites.
- Able to write proposals and provide detailed documentation.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
