About This Opportunity
Cumberland Council is looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Fostering and Adoption team. In this rewarding role, you�ll work directly with carers and children, supporting recruitment, assessment, and placement activities. You�ll also deliver therapeutic interventions; help build parenting confidence and ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and support.
We�re looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field, strong communication and organisational skills, and experience working with children, families, or carers. In return, you�ll join a supportive, values-led team committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children. This role requires flexible working, including evenings and weekends.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
