Description

We are seeking a Corporate Pitch Manager to join our global bid team. You will principally be responsible for providing bid support to our flagship Corporate Practice across the UK and EMEA and be a key part of the Corporate Business Development team. While this opportunity is based in the UK (out of either our Manchester, Birmingham or Leeds office), you will collaborate closely with other members of the pitch and wider business development team globally.

Our Firm

Squire Patton Boggs is one of the world's strongest integrated law firms, committed to providing insight at the point where law, business and government meet. We deliver commercially focused business solutions to a diverse mix of clients, from long-established leading corporations to emerging businesses, start-up visionaries and sovereign nations.

With over 1,500 lawyers spanning more than 40 offices across four continents, the firm is renowned for its local connections and global influence, delivering comprehensive legal services across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. In the UK, we have offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London.

The firm is committed to promoting a collaborative and supportive working environment. Embedded by local champions in each of our UK offices, our well-regarded family and carer, wellbeing and workplace culture and development programmes provide a variety of flexible working options to support individuals' life journeys, helping our people pursue their personal and professional goals.

Our Team

Our global Business Development and Marketing team work together to provide frontline business development support and advice at a practice, industry and office level - much of the work being collaborative and international in nature. You will be joining a global bid team of seven, reporting to the UK Senior Bid Manager. You will also work closely with the Corporate BD Director and wider Corporate BD team.

Our Opportunity

The Corporate Pitch Manager will principally focus on drafting and finalising quick turnaround Corporate pitches and capability statements, utilising best practices and related tools, as well as developing other materials to assist the Corporate Practice Group's business development, retention and expansion efforts.

You may also from time-to-time work on pre-qualification questionnaires, feeding into wider non-Corporate pitches, creating bespoke capability statements and helping with keeping best practice pitch materials and resources up to date including standard firm information.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual looking for a career with a global reach. You'll have the chance to build long lasting relationships with colleagues across the globe. This is a demanding role, and you will need to work to tight deadlines, be flexible and have excellent writing and presentation skills, with a keen attention to detail. In return, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects where your specialist input will result in the future growth and success of the firm's client base.

You

To be successful, you will be educated to degree level and will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role (either bidding or in a Corporate BD environment), ideally within legal services or other professional services organisations. Knowledge and experience in leading on bid documentation production and best practice is essential. You will also need to possess strong interpersonal, relationship building, and project management skills alongside excellent MS Office skills - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Attention to detail is paramount, along with an ability to work quickly, but accurately, in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be a dynamic, creative and determined individual who can use their own initiative as well as work as part of a team. You will have excellent writing and oral skills with an eye for detail.

This role is busy and demanding with many pitches requiring a quick turnaround within 24 hours and therefore a professional "can do" attitude and the ability to work under pressure is critical.

Flexibility required with regards to hours and travel to other UK offices.
