The Opportunity
We are seeking an organised Customer Care Administrator to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. Laing O'Rourke is an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia.
We're looking for a Customer Care Administrator to join our team at Head Office in Dartford. This role supports our Customer Care Function through helpdesk management, archiving, and general commercial support. You'll play a key part in ensuring we keep the customer at the heart of everything we do. By using your organisation and communication skills, you'll help us deliver a seamless service that supports both our customers and wider business goals.

What will the role look like?
- Monitor the Customer Care Helpdesk email for incoming defect notifications and communications from client, trade contractors, internal teams
- Issue 7-day notices, failure to act letters to trade contractors
- Monitor and track defects through to completion, ensuring close out time frames are monitored
- Assist with the production of the Project Handover Plans for projects
- A single point of contact for withdrawing and returning boxes including raising facilities requests, informing Security of deliveries and returns and liaising with Legal team regarding archive boxes and use of the designated space to review content
- Completing time sheets/clock adjustments for weekly paid operatives and submission to office manager for payment
- Track and monitor plant hire/off hire schedule, communicate requirements with Office Manager
- Raising subcontractor interim payment certificates
- Compile subcontractor package awards and submit for authorisation
- Ensure that orders comply with the requesting manager's requirements and authorised quotations
- Raise any issues where “failure to act” letters have been sent for further contractual consideration

- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently without close direction as well as effectively in a team
- Commercial knowledge desirable
- Microsoft proficiency
- Customer focused communication skills
