Our AI powered platform solves this by revealing the entire customer journey.

We connect vast, anonymized datasets on foot traffic and consumer spending to provide actionable insights on everything from competitive market share and trade area analysis to customer demographics and cross-shopping behaviour. This allows retailers to answer their most challenging questions: where to open their next store, how to optimize marketing spend, and what truly drives retail performance.

Your role will be to make sure that those insights are delivered in a timely, actionable and reliable way to our customers. We move fast, experiment often, and care deeply about building reliable systems that scale and we’re looking for a Data Engineer who’s excited to do exactly that.

The Role

You’ll be the go-to person for everything related to the infrastructure of our client-facing products: from designing new pipelines to keeping existing systems running smoothly. Your work will directly shape how quickly we can launch new products and how reliably we deliver data to our customers.

You’ll take over maintenance and optimization of our PostgreSQL database, build new data pipelines, and collaborate closely with our platform and product teams to ship improvements fast.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and plenty of room to experiment, iterate, and make a visible impact.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain reliable pipelines and feeds for product data.
• Own and optimize our PostgreSQL database: schema design, performance tuning, and debugging.
• Design and set up tables and pipelines for new data products.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to bring new data products online quickly.
• Monitor and improve regular data updates to ensure accuracy and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues as they arise.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL (queries, optimization, backend management).
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Confidence using Airflow (Python-based) for orchestration.
• Familiarity with GCP, particularly networking and IAM.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Worked with geospatial data or mapping systems.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers or product teams.
• Experience with alerting and uptime monitoring.
• Interest in AI agents or automation tools for support and monitoring.
