Design Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a NPD Design Manager to be part of our Group Creative Team.

The main purpose of the role is to oversee and manage projects, working closely with the Commercial buying and Far East teams, and reporting into the Group Head of NPD.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring that all briefs are in line with the stationery strategy, on-brand, market-leading, innovative and customer focussed.
• Solid commercial awareness of competitors through research online and competitor shopping.
• Managing multiple projects through the studio following a critical path and the NPD processes.
• Attending briefings and presentations with the commercial buying teams and liaising with all key stakeholders.
• Checking all artworks and printed samples with the designers and buying team.
• Tracking project spend, raising purchase orders, and licensing.

What we are looking for:

• Graduate calibre or equivalent with experience in the product or retail sector.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience would be preferable, working within the design environment.
• Highly organised skills and good communication across all areas.
• A strong appreciation of design, branding and the creative process gained from working for a design agency or in-house retailer.
• Highly motivated and confident with the initiative to deliver a high volume of projects for a diverse range of product.
• Fully competent in using Excel and Microsoft Word, Mac experience would be a bonus but not essential.
