Desktop Support IT Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support IT Engineer to join our team for a Windows 11 migration refresh support project The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition to Windows 11 providing technical support and resolving any issues that arise during the migration process

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to endusers during the migration process including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues

Ensure all devices are properly configured and compatible with Windows 11

Perform data backup and recovery to prevent data loss during the migration

Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure a seamless transition to Windows 11

Document and report any issues or challenges encountered during the migration process

Provide training and support to endusers on the new Windows 11 environment

Maintain uptodate knowledge of Windows 11 features and best practices

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems particularly Windows 11

Experience with Windows migration projects is highly desirable

Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant certifications eg CompTIA A Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications

Experience with data backup and recovery processes

Knowledge of network and system administration

Ability to provide training and support to endusers
