WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE:
As the Editorial and Content Lead, you will report to the Vice President of Creative, working closely with the wider creative and production team. The key purpose of this role is to lead a best in class Editorial and Content team at Pentland, working across all our brands with a focus on Speedo, Berghaus and Endura.
You’ll ideate, execute and write bold, culturally relevant and emotive stories about our collections and product innovations – stories that bridge between creative communications and creative selling. The end goal is to make our brands famed and desired through editorialised content that creates product desire, gets our brands noticed and drives community engagement & growth.
With experience on premium sports, lifestyle and/or fashion brands, and a portfolio of work that is ideas led and digital first, you are an expert at taking a product story and editorilisng it through-the-line; from disruptive social-first formats through to writing copy for CRM, blog, and landing pages online. You are both parts a clever social-first creative, as well as being obsessive in your craft of copywriting. With a strong black book of DoP’s, content creators and photographers to commission and execute your ideas.
You have a focus on creative effectiveness, with an indepth understanding of what types of content perform best on key social channels and selling platforms, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates effectiveness in engagement and community growth.
You work at your best in a team, inspiring and motivating our brands to be creatively progressive, through fresh, innovative and strategically aligned creative thinking. You’ll make our brands more desirable and more relevant in the work you create.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
- Lead the creative ideation and execution of
- Bold, social first ideas for global brand campaigns, that build engaged communities around our brands
- Collaborations & commissions with content creators & social influencers to support new product launches and brand initiatives
- Concepts for events, experiences and PR activations that build engaged communities around our brands
- Taking product storytelling TTL – from ideating and commissioning social formats to writing CRM and blogs online
- On the pulse with what’s trending culturally and on social channels, to find highly creative and relevant ways for our brands to show up at cultural moments
- Oversee a small junior team running the social newsroom during key cultural moments, getting our brands seen and talked about on social during those periods
- Work with the production team to execute best in class film and stills content for social & CRM, including commissions shoot team, talent/model/influencer casting, creative oversight of pre & post production
- Support the creative and brand teams with talent, influencer and casting recommendations based on campaign and/or content ideas
- Inspiring the creative team and wider business with what great content and through-the-line editorialisation looks like, setting a new benchmark for bold and effective content at Pentland
- Commercially minded with an understanding of what drives effectiveness on different social channels. Works with media and strategy teams to test and learn new ideas in order to make work that is more effective with every season
- Manages junior social media creative. With the potential to shape and build the Editorial and Content team out in the near future

- You are ideas led, bring strong conceptual thinking and a proven track record of delivering attention-grabbing, social-first formats that build engaged communities and support commercial objectives
- You have experience collaborating with influencers, creators, and high profile talent. And have a strong black book of DoP’s, creators and photographers to commission to execute your ideas
- You bring big, emotive ideas to product storytelling. You have experience in branded entertainment and developing fame driving repeatable/serialised social formats.
- You can editorialise your ideas TTL – from ideating and executing hero social formats, to copywriting CRM, blogs, landing pages online
- You’re a confident and inspiring team leader, you manage and mentor creatives with care, setting the standard for excellence and pushing boundaries. You’re experienced in overseeing content production — from casting to post — and bring a strong editorial eye and attention to craft throughout the process.
- Commercially savvy and creatively driven, you understand what makes content effective, and you’re eager to test, learn, and elevate every piece of work.
- Influence across creative, brand, and strategy teams, helping raise the bar for bold, effective, and culturally resonant content at Pentland.
