Finance Manager

Finance Manager (Divisonal Accounting) required for a UK-listed group undergoing financial transformation (Hybrid – Maidenhead based)

£60,000 – £70,000 + car allowance and comprehensive benefits package, depending on experience

Office is located on Berkshire (3 days a week in the office)

Stanton House are partnering with a well-established, FTSE-listed organisation with a strong national presence and a portfolio of long-term contracts across regulated and operationally complex sectors. As part of a wider programme to enhance financial rigour and shared services capability, the business is seeking a Finance Manager to join its central finance team.

This is a newly created role within the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, supporting multiple divisions with end-to-end financial reporting, controls, and process improvement. Managing a small team, the successful candidate will take ownership of core month-end processes, divisional reviews, recharges, and financial compliance across business units.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 5+ years of post-qualified experience
• Experience managing or developing small finance teams
• Strong technical understanding of financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and intercompany transactions
• Familiarity with large ERP systems – Oracle or equivalent preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders at a senior level
• Proven track record of identifying financial anomalies and delivering process improvements
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing complex processes across teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of 3 in delivering divisional financial reporting and controls
• Oversee month-end close processes including journal preparation, reconciliations, and performance review
• Manage intercompany recharges and ensure accuracy across business units
• Support the financial close-out of major contracts/projects, including reconciliations and compliance checks
• Liaise with payroll and procurement teams to ensure cost allocations and controls are well maintained
• Own and improve reporting around bid accruals, cost transfers, and balance sheet health
• Provide financial insight and business partnering to senior operational stakeholders
• Monitor key performance metrics and support ad-hoc finance transformation projects
