About This Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Finance team at Cumberland Council.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical finance officer to support our insurance team. The role is critical in supporting the management of the Council�s insurance service ensuring Council policies and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of the insurance service including processing insurance claims.
- Provide information to support the monitoring of insurance services.
- Prepare and maintain financial transactions and records.
- Prepare reports and information to support effective decision making.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Council policies and legislative requirements.
- Deliver training programmes to budget managers across the Council.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
This role is available on a permanent basis. Although its full-time, part time arrangements may be considered.
