The Role
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in a laboratory environment? ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support their team at ALS Trowbridge.
We are seeking a dedicated team member to join us in carrying out essential testing and analysis with accuracy and efficiency. Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: Monday - Friday (12:30pm - 9pm)
Contract: Full Time and Fixed Term (12 months)
Salary: £25,834 per annum

The day to day
- Working as part of a small team conducting routine water microbiological analysis including testing to Drinking Water Testing Specification.
- General laboratory duties e.g. daily calibration of equipment and maintaining a clean working environment.
- Assisting in media production and food microbiology laboratory when required.
- Occasional driving work to assist as cover for sample collections.
The Essentials
- A full clean driving licence.
- Knowledge / previous experience of drinking water testing desirable but not essential as training provided
- A methodical approach and good attention to detail.
- Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office packages.
- The ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team.
- Previous laboratory experience with a knowledge of quality systems would be an advantage.
