Transactional focus

Reporting to General Counsel

Role responsibilities:

• To join and be a core member of the legal team, assisting and managing on every day transactional work from engagement letters to corporate authorisations
• Manage core transactional work including NDA's, KYCs and general filings.
• Manage external consultancy support that provides day-to-day company secretarial and governance services
• To support the legal team on legal and regulatory analysis, including new legal developments which may affect the business
• To ensure best practice in corporate governance, including recording investment approvals and board reporting on legal matters, maintaining conflicts registers and directorships lists
• To oversee legal documentation by managing external law firms as required on more complex matters
• To liaise in a proactive, problem solving manner with all areas of the business on legal matters

Experience required:

• 2+ PQE solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction.
• experience working at a London solicitor
• Excellent academic background
• Self-starter with excellent presentation skills, in particular written
• Judgement to balance commercial and legal risks to achieve proportionate outcomes
