We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused
Mobile Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues across hardware, software, and peripherals. You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Audio Visual/Video conferencing, end user computing, device management, print and worksetting services, while delivering exceptional customer service and collaborating with wider technical teams. You will provide these services to a number of Sky UK site offices visiting on a scheduled basis.
What You'll Do
- Provide end-user device suport (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting) for Windows laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
- Deliver tailored assistance for accessibility users and specialist equipment setups.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Audio Visual/Video Conferencing systems, including daily checks and performance monitoring.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot for Infrastructure network connectivity to desks and Wi-Fi performance monitoring.
- Support printer services, including hardware maintenance and consumables.
- Perform regular checks on workstations (monitors, docking stations, peripherals).
- Provision and image devices for new starters, loan requests, and leaver returns.
- Manage asset records in ServiceNow and audit stockrooms for inventory accuracy.
- Resolve incidents and tasks via ServiceNow, prioritizing high-impact issues. Support IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks and desk-side equipment relocations
- Create and maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven professional experience in Desktop support or IT help desk roles.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11 (including build, configuration, and registry settings), Microsoft 365 and common peripherals (printers, MFDs, docking stations), as well as ITSM tools (ServiceNow).
- Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft AND OEM (Dell/HP) are highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to UK sites.
- Strong customer focus with ability to anticipate and clarify user needs.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to write clear documentation for knowledge sharing and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently when required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable making decisions with ambiguity.
- Creative and adaptable approach to new technologies and practices.
- Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.

This is a site-based role located at one of Sky’s critical operations centres. Due to the hands-on nature of the work and the importance of maintaining real-time infrastructure, remote or hybrid working is not available for this position.
