Role Overview
As a New Business Intern, you will support the business development and client onboarding teams in identifying new opportunities, managing inbound enquiries, and ensuring a seamless client journey. You will gain exposure to the operational and commercial side of legal practice, working closely with key departments across the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing and responding to new client enquiries via phone, email, and website
- Help qualify leads and allocate enquiries to appropriate legal departments
- Support the preparation of quotes, proposals, and follow-up correspondence
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions, and client feedback
- Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives (e.g., events, online campaigns)
- Assist with market research and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with solicitors, paralegals, and the marketing team to improve client experience
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the new business function
What we are looking for
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A professional and client-focused attitude
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
- A genuine interest in law and/or business development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident with CRM or data entry systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- Previous office, customer service, or sales experience is advantageous, but not essential
