Sizewell C Project and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.
Sizewell C will create a 3.2 gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions. Our proposal is to build a new nuclear power station on the East Suffolk coast which will supply 6 million homes with low-carbon electricity.
Role Purpose
- Develop , maintain and monitor the project schedule.
- Key role in ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of activities.
- Working within a team of planning engineers on an integrated delivery schedule, reporting monthly progress and identifying potential issues to mitigate and maintain the timeline within the schedule
What you'll be doing
As a Piping Planner, you'll have the following accountabilities;
- Develop detailed schedules for design, procurement, fabrication and installation activities aligned with the overall project timelines
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams , project managers and teams to gather accurate data for schedule development and updates
- Track and report progress , identifying potential delays or deviations and recommending corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity
- Support risk assessments and scenario planning
- Prepare / support the production of schedule performance reports for monthly reporting to key stakeholders
- Participate in change control processes , ensuring any schedule impacts are analysed and documented in accordance with project procedures
- Ensuring all planning work is robust and health checked
Who we're looking for
- Degree in engineering or project management / controls
- Proficiency in project controls planning software – Strong Primavera P6 skills with +5 years’ experience in actively using the tool to develop / manage and maintain engineering / procurement projects
- Experience of project planning within the Nuclear industry
- Ability to confidently drive Primavera P6 software, setting up and applying filters, assigning costs and resources , progressing, coding
- Strong analytical skills to assess project data , identify trends and anticipate potential risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of risk , to support mitigation on project risks / mapping within the schedule / identify and highlight key risks and impact assess
- Earned Value experience
- Strong excel and data management skills
- A solution-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
- Ability to visually demonstrate key approaches to communicate to the wider team
