What you'll

do

Your typical day-to-day in this role can incl

ude:contributing to the overall strategic technical direction and standards for our Mechanical Engineering
teamleading mechanical design across the full spectrum of water and wastewater infrastructure, including abstraction, boreholes, treatment works and sewage netw
orksdeveloping and evaluating options to identify the least whole-life cost solut
ionsreviewing and approving mechanical schedules, drawings and P&

;IDsreviewing and approving technical reports, calculations, designs and drawings for compliance with our health and safety, technical, legal and environmental stand

ardsproviding expert technical guidance and mentoring to support Mechanical Engineers in developing appropriate and cost-effective solut

ionscollaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure scope alignment and integrated deli

verymentoring junior Engineers and actively contributing to team develop

mentpreparing design fee proposals and scheme design progra

mmesliaising with Site Managers on technical is

suesensuring design proceeds in line with budgetary and programme constraints, and that the project management team are aware of the state of progr

What you'll

need
You'll need to be a proactive, solutions-focused engineer with a passion for excellence and innov

ation.
You'll

bring:deep industry knowledge as a seasoned professional within the water sector, with a proven track record of success in senior-leve
l rolesfurther, extensive experience within the water i

ndustrya Chartered Engineering qualification with a relevant inst

itutiona degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related dis

ciplineexperience working with contractors, clients and stake

holdersstrong understanding of risk management, particularly environmenta

l risksexcellent communication, negotiation and influencing

skillsa positive, adaptable mindset and a strong team
