Project Coordinator

RSK Group we are currently recruiting for a tenacious and passionate
Project Coordinator to join their growing UK ecology team.
Based within our project management team, and reporting to the Project Support Manager, you will provide practical logistical support for the resourcing and day to day running of ecology projects. You will be organising and managing ecological survey work, both for RSK Biocensus ecologists and the subcontractor network, while ensuring that projects are well-resourced and that communication between all involved is effective. You will also be supporting the financial tracking and commercial administration of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a flexible team to provide practical, logistical support for projects, where activities may vary according to each project’s specific needs.
- Providing administrative support for ecologists working in the field and being their point of contact during the working day.
- Providing administrative support for the Project Manager and actively contributing to the successful running of ecology projects.
- Keeping accurate records using both RSK Biocensus and the clients’ own systems.
- Working with the resourcing team and directly with suppliers to ensure that their skills meet the requirements of each project
- Supporting the project finance support team to process timesheet and expenses data.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our project management processes.
- Working collaboratively with other members of the Project Management Team.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role, with the ability to work under pressure and react appropriately to rapid changes in requirements.
Being well organised with the ability to prioritise workload to meet a wide variety of deadlines will be key to this role.
- A good standard of IT skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication (including via technology).
- Ability to use their own initiative and problem solve.
- Ability to work with a variety of people at all levels of the business, inside and outside of the immediate team.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to support other teams when needed.
- Friendly and approachable, with a willingness to learn and proactive attitude.
- Great attention to detail and focus on consistent high-quality outputs.
An interest and desire to learn about biodiversity and ecology projects is required to be able to perform well in this role.
