The Opportunity
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
As a Project Manager in the Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC (MEH) Programme, you’ll play a key role in managing scope changes and integrating new workstreams into the MEH Bulk Installation contract. You’ll help define and refine the MEH core scope, ensuring alignment with the wider programme strategy. This is a chance to shape delivery on a national scale, while driving innovation and continuous improvement in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be at the heart of a cross-functional team, working with experts in engineering, procurement, construction, safety, and more to ensure the MEH Programme is delivered to the highest standards. Your leadership will help maintain momentum across key activities, ensuring safety, quality, and cost targets are met.
Supporting the Senior Project Manager, you’ll help shape and deliver detailed project plans, track performance, and manage risks and issues proactively. Your work will be closely aligned with the Programme Execution Plan and Project Delivery Model, ensuring strategic consistency across the board.
You’ll also play a key role in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. By embedding lessons learned and sharing knowledge across the MEH Alliance, you’ll help drive performance and innovation. You may also take on line management responsibilities and work closely with the HPC Site Construction team to ensure seamless integration across the wider programme.
Who You Are
You bring strong leadership skills and a proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects. You understand the CDM Regulations and have experience managing multi-discipline EPCM projects from design through to delivery. Your toolkit includes estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management, along with sharp analytical and decision-making skills.
You’re confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from contractors to consultants, and you’re comfortable navigating regulated environments. You’ve worked with NEC contracts and understand the intricacies of construction procurement, commercial claims, and negotiations. Familiarity with nuclear quality standards is a plus.
Ideally, you hold a degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, and a professional project management qualification such as APM PPQ.
