LSEG’s Regulatory Reporting Solutions is a software and data solutions business, offering global sell-side and buy-side clients a wide variety of products to assist with their obligations to report their transactions on a timely and accurate basis. We also provide several ancillary services to ensure the accuracy and completeness of their reporting, (e.g reconciliations, data solutions).
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager of LSEG’s Regulatory Reporting Solutions, the Operations Manager will help lead a team responsible for the management of key day-to-day operational processes across the suite of LSEG’s Regulatory Reporting Solutions including oversight of the offshore team. This role is central to ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance across our services, and alongside our Customer Success and Client Services teams, delivering a first-class service to our customers whilst maintaining a focus on revenue growth, client demand, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Leadership and Team Development
- Manage Offshore Team: Manage, mentor, and develop a remote/offshore building knowledge and capability ensuring consistent understanding of processes, requirements and culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage Key Regulatory Reporting Operational Workflows: Be responsible for daily and periodic regulatory reporting activities across a range of jurisdictions (e.g., FCA, ESMA, etc.) ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g, EMIR, MiFID II).
- Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement efficiencies including automation opportunities, and control enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk and improve data quality.
Risk and Controls
- Establish, monitor and evidence robust quality control processes proactively identifying operational risks and mitigations.
- Review / challenge the Operational Risk impacts to new projects, ensuring the right controls are in place to mitigate/reduce any existing or new risks introduced.
- Participate in the Incident Management process, ensuring the right actions are in place to avoid future re-occurrences.
- Respond to internal/external audit inquiries and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections; maintain proper documentation and change management controls.
Change Management and Stakeholder Management
- Support transformation projects related to regulatory reporting processes, systems, and team structures, ensuring successful planning, execution, and adoption.
- Lead offshoring transitions or re-structuring of reporting functions, including transition roadmaps and transition frameworks (knowledge transfer plans, shadowing cycles, dual-run periods, risk assessments).
- Assess the impact of new requirements, working with Compliance, Legal, and Technology to adapt operational processes accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with internal/external partners, and senior management to ensure alignment on regulatory reporting objectives. Engineer positive outcomes from client engagements, successfully handling client customer concerns and aiding clients to work through issues or concerns.
Enter the essential experience and skills required:
- 5+ years’ Operations experience within the financial markets
- Ability to question existing processes, articulating weaknesses and suggest improvements - challenge the status quo
- Implemented and maintained operational processes and controls
- Led successful offshoring or process migrations
- Prior experience in management or team leadership roles, ideally offshore management
- Developed performance and risk reporting metrics
