ShipServ is a SaaS platform that allows buyers and suppliers in the maritime industry to requisition and procure goods and services for vessels all over the world. Our platform is available as a browser-based application and public APIs. As part of the backend team, you will be tasked with building and maintaining the internal and external APIs and business logic we use to run the ShipServ platform.
We run a MERN stack in a Typescript monorepo with GraphQL APIs and we are looking for a developer with experience and competency in those technologies.
- Write clean code for new features, supported by comprehensive unit testing to ensure the quality of the codebase remains high and errors are kept to a minimum
- Attend Agile ceremonies including daily standups, retros, and planning to ensure high velocity development
- Collaborate with product team, frontend team, and QA teams to determine tasks required to deliver proposed features to ensure smooth delivery of functionality
- Analyse bug reports and implement fixes to ensure continuity of service for our clients
- Support, coach, and encourage junior members of the team to raise the skill level of the whole team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM subject OR Bachelors equivalent educational achievement
- Min 4 years experience employed in development (6 years without degree or equivalent)
- Min 2 years experience employed at a MERN stack company
- Currently working as a mid or senior developer
- Experience working in a monorepo would be an asset
- Knowledge in NodeJs, Typescript, GraphQL, MongoDB, MacOS, Functional + OOP coding experience
