Commissioning. We are now seeking a dynamic and driven
Senior Test Engineer – Delivery to join our Modularisation Development Programme (MDP).
Reporting to the MDP Test (Design) Manager, you will lead integrated project teams in defining and delivering demonstrator and test strategies that support the development of our modular nuclear technology. This role demands strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills, as you will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Your work will initially focus on supporting plant design optimisation, evolving into the provision of critical test data to validate and verify the design and underpin the safety case. Success in this role requires a high level of initiative, influence, and the ability to drive delivery of complex, high-value test outcomes.
The MDP is a comprehensive programme that develops and validates design, establishes production capabilities, integrates digital technologies, and defines SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) requirements across the modularisation lifecycle. It includes ten key demonstrators across four major workstreams:
Modular Kit of Parts (MKoP),
Civil Kit of Parts,
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and
Facilities.
Key selection criteria are:
Test Programmes
Experience in the definition, planning and execution of test programmes to ensure they generate the required design development, verification or validation evidence, including as applicable through scaled tests or sub-element testing.
Delivery
Experience in leading challenging and complex engineering projects in a regulated industry, nuclear experience is preferred but not essential.
Communication and Influence
Good interpersonal & communication skills, able to bring people together and solve problems as a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. Design & Development)
Systems Engineering
Demonstrate a clear analytical approach and a methodical work process. Have a systems-thinking mindset, including experience of collaborating within multi-discipline teams to define and manage system requirements.
Technical Coaching & Reviewing
Alongside managing the delivery and quality of their own work, Senior Engineers will have a responsibility to drive up the quality of the wider team’s outputs, through coaching and reviewing.
Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE plus:-
- Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
- Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.

- Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
- £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
