Day to Day:
Insight Global seeking a Sr. Project Manager for one of their premier energy clients in London. This person will be managing an IT led initiative to build a modern data platform in Azure Databricks for the Crude and Products Trading teams. He or she will work with the stakeholders and data engineering teams collocated between London and Bangalore. Standard PM responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the below:
Must Haves:
- Strong IT Project Management experience
- Azure Databricks platform delivery experience in an enterprise environment
- Proven experience manging data engineering projects with Azure within the last 2-3 years (i.e. building or implementing data warehouses and/or data lakes)
- Ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders and resolve conflict and deliver tough messages with grace
- Proven experience understanding and applying the terminology, metrics, and calculations relevant to business-specific measures and s, such as return on investment (ROI), stakeholder value, benefits realization and capability improvement.
- Experience planning and leading of Agile projects and educating stakeholders and others involved while managing a project
Plusses:
- Experience in Freight/Vessel operations and/or Energy Trading domain is highly preferred
- Agile certifications/trainings preferred
- Professional certifications related to project management (e.g. PMP (preferred) or Prince 2 Practitioner)
