- Develop the outsourcing strategy
The Head – Strategic Deal Management will define the position of Infosys on large Strategic Outsourcing, develop the market and promotions around large Strategic outsourcing message for external use, develop models and frameworks on Strategic outsourcing, brand respective models and frameworks (file IP etc.); S/He will guide the creation of the execution strategy and define goals, review execution of strategy at periodic intervals, develop relations with market, regulators and industry as Infosys' executive connect for outsourcing
in order to leverage the Infosys outsourcing business proposition and achieve business goals.
The Head – Strategic Deal Management will drive proactive sales to new verticals / industries, new markets and new deal structure in existing verticals and clients Identify criteria to qualify deals, guide team in the deal qualification process, staff a pursuit team, lead the efforts of the pursuit team, review project plans of pursuit teams, provide guidance on arriving at 'best recommendations' for a specific pursuit; get a buy in from iBOD on exceptions,
in order to manage the pursuit effectively and improve the conversion of pursuits.
The Head – Strategic Deal Management will design solutions specific to client and business requirements, differentiate solutions in managing transitions, identify and staff the team with specific skills required to execute the solution, review solutions around the 'change' elements; participate in steering committees at the client during the change implementation, review progress of change actions on the ground at periodic intervals, manage escalations, oversee the analysis of 'deal' loss factors
in order to ensure the creation and execution of effective solutions to meet client requirements and strengthen the Infosys brand.
The Head – Strategic Deal Management will set clear and objective goals for team, plan and lead competency building initiatives within the team in line with the overall unit plan, identify, prioritize and deploy action items from E-SAT surveys, monitor and review progress on employee engagement activities, lead and champion employee communication within the group, manage the aspirations of a team of specialists, participate in performance management, recruitment, mentoring and related HR processes for the relevant levels within the team, resolve escalation within the team on issues like allocation, transfers, promotions, approve decisions on rewards, ratings and promotions within the team based on allocated budget and within the overall defined guidelines
in order to build a competent and motivated team.
