The successful candidate will work alongside 2x service managers to lead and manage the administrative teams supporting patient care within the Haematology department. This role ensures the efficient day-to-day running of services, focusing on delivering high-quality administration for patients, carers, and referrers.
The post-holder will drive continuous improvement by managing outpatient pathways, supporting performance targets, and leading key projects related to quality, efficiency, and service development. The role also involves staff management and fostering strong communication across multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered outcomes.
- Lead and manage non-clinical administrative teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery and staff development.
- Oversee patient pathway management, validating access data, and driving improvements in data quality and capacity planning.
- Monitor, report, and achieve key performance indicators related to patient care, governance, activity, and workforce targets.
- Support and lead service-wide projects focused on quality improvement, efficiency, productivity, and compliance with national health initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical leads and senior nursing staff to redesign pathways and optimise resource utilisation.
- Ensure effective communication within teams and across departments, handling complaints, audit processes, and patient engagement activities.
- Deputise for the Assistant General Manager as required and represent the Division at internal and external meetings.
