Job Summary

The Supervisor will play a key role in delivering Highways Repairs and Maintenance, ensuring the effective day-to-day management of operatives and individual work sites.

Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing all site activities to ensure that works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.

This role requires strong leadership and organisational skills to coordinate teams, manage resources, and deliver projects within budget and timescales. You will act as the main point of contact on site, supporting the team and ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved through consistent, high-quality service delivery. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and team health, safety, and environmental compliance, conducting regular audits
• Manage site resources, including labour, materials, vehicles, and subcontractors, to meet project goals
• Oversee and supervise site works, ensuring high standards of workmanship and productivity
• Maintain accurate site measurements, valuations, and costings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Conduct Toolbox Talks and support staff development and morale
• Ensure compliance with company policies and support continuous improvement initiatives
