About This Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Finance team at Cumberland Council.� This is a specialist post to support the strategic development and operational use of key financial systems.
The successful candidate will have a background in support systems and end users of the system. Strong communication, IT, numeracy, management and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working closely with various stakeholders and stakeholder engagement is key to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert financial systems support, consulting with departments to improve service delivery and financial outcomes.
- Maintain and monitor financial systems, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and compliance with service standards.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to develop and enhance financial applications tailored to Council needs.
- Lead and coordinate financial systems projects, reviewing processes and implementing improvements.
- Build strong working relationships with finance teams to ensure effective business partnering.
- Communicate complex financial system issues clearly to a range of stakeholders, influencing decision-making.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
