Location: Market Hall and Allerdale House

Salary: �31,067 - �31,586 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week or 2 � 18.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary until 2028



  • About This Opportunity

    Cumberland Council is looking for a compassionate and proactive�Tenancy Sustainment Officer�to join our Housing Options team. In this rewarding role, you�ll provide floating support to individuals who have experienced homelessness, helping them to establish and maintain tenancies across the Allerdale and Copeland areas.

    You�ll work closely with clients to develop life skills, access benefits, improve wellbeing, and connect with services that support long-term housing stability. This role involves home visits, multi-agency collaboration, and advocacy, so strong communication and organisational skills are essential. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and knowledge of housing and welfare systems are key, along with a valid UK driving licence.
