Global Investment Research (GIR) provides its clients with investment recommendations across multiple asset classes by generating fundamental research and analysis of companies, industries, markets and

economies.

In the Europe Portfolio Strategy group, the primary responsibility is to analyze and forecast the direction of equity markets. This involves identifying key themes and factors that drive market movements and evaluating the attractiveness of investments across different sectors. The group plays a crucial role in advising institutional investors on strategies that maximize profits while managing risks associated with equity portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintaining and enhancing the valuation and forecasting tools of the team
• Supporting the team at various stages of the research publication process (collecting and presenting macro economic and market data, building and streamlining models and contributing to the redaction
• of published reports).
• Assisting the team with charts, data and analysis for research reports and preparing presentations for clients
• Supporting the team in preparing the material for client meetings and responding to client requests

Skills and experience we are looking for

• Interest in Macro Research
• Strong quantitative, analytical and technical skills
• Final year students or those who have recently graduated from a Bachelors or Masters
• High numerical, verbal and analytical competence
• Whilst this is not a software development role, some python knowledge would be useful
• Applicants who are available for a 12 month internship with an immediate start
