Academic Administrator and Digital Technician (Higher Education)

40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year


£31,547 - £32,900 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)


We are looking to recruit a Higher Education Academic Administrator and Digital Technician to

support the Ruskin Mill Centre of Practice higher education courses by managing all aspects of the

course administration and to manage the day-to-day workings of digital platform, Broadcasts,

Podcasts, conferencing for higher education courses.


Main Duties include:

• To book venues, accommodation and refreshments for Higher Education course delivery

weeks.

• To print or purchase course materials, ensuring they are available for students.

• To make recommendations for system improvements

• To quality assure reports for the Academic Board.

• To liaise with external stakeholders including external examiners and partner University

Dedicated Academic Liaison Officers to arrange visits or share information in line with

regulations.

• To ensure conference IT equipment is working and set-up prior to all meetings, lectures, events

and close-down post meeting, lecture, event.

• To be present at module delivery and other events to act as technician and troubleshooter in

the event of IT issues.


The ideal candidate will be educated to Bachelors Degree Level and ideally to Master’s Degree Level with a willingness to travel as required. You must have excellent skills in; IT, prioritisation,

communication and have the ability to demonstrate high levels of motivation and enthusiasm.

into higher education and training in the method.
