About the role
Working closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) the Academic Director will provide academic leadership for the University’s degree apprenticeship portfolio. This involves ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of programmes, with a focus on curriculum enhancement, learner outcomes, and industry engagement, to make a lasting impact on the educational experience and future success of our apprentices.
Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will advise on internal and external policy and strategic developments to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and to create new opportunities for work-based learning. By designing a comprehensive staff development programme and coordinating quality standards, you will empower our programme leaders and tutors to deliver outstanding degree apprenticeships.

You will possess strong leadership and management skills, inspiring and motivating others to reach their full potential. With have a proven track record in driving continuous improvement and innovation within degree apprenticeship programs, you constantly exploring new approaches, technologies, and assessment methods to enhance learning experiences.
