The Role
We are looking for an
Academy Football Analyst on a casual basis to provide insightful performance analysis within our Academy, across the professional development phase.
In this exciting role, you'll be entrusted to follow all of our Club and Academy’s relevant analytics processes and workflows, ensuring optimal standards of quality are achieved.

Your day-to-day
- Provide insightful training analysis - you will eagerly oversee the management of the capturing of training footage and data - providing feedback and coaching material for both players and coaches, in order to aid performance and/or the pre-match opposition analysis process
- Champion effective individual analysis - you'll proudly lead in the delivery of a detailed, regular individual player review programme, handling the preparation of material (video & data), as well as the delivery of such work to both coaches and players
- Oversee critical pre-match processes - you will support in the preparation of all pre-match opposition analysis content, accounting for performance trends, and you'll provide materials to highlight a more specific/individual level to our pre-match opposition analysis process
- Lead individual post-match workflows - you'll play a key role in the post-match process, looking after player databases and supporting coaches with the delivery of feedback and you will liaise with our data team around all individual post-match content
- Support live match-day analysis - you'll be a key part of our drive for a much more thorough and extensive match day process for live capture and analysis, with the ultimate goal of providing feedback in real-time
- Aid the delivery of the Academy CPD programme - you'll passionately contribute to the preparation and delivery of our Academy's coaching CPD programme and you'll oversee the investigation of any other relevant topic with the goal of furthering our understanding of performance
- Attend a range of fixtures - you will be required to attend all U18 and U17 fixtures on a domestic and international basis
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in professional football - you come equipped with previous experience of working within football in order to understand the unique nature of football culture
- Proven background in sports analysis - you possess a solid understanding of varying working methodologies and best practice within elite sports analysis
- Credible expertise - you hold an FA Level 2 Coaching License or above
- Track record of working at academy level - you're proud of your history of utilising your specialist skillset to help young players and coaches grow and develop
- Best-in-class expertise on our game - you have an expert level technical and tactical understanding of football and are well versed in a diverse range of strategies, systems, philosophies and game models
- Data driven mindset - you're able to accurately analyse multiple and often complex data streams in order to understand performance and you excel when you're delivering and communicating performance insights to key stakeholders in the organisation
- Excellent communication skills - you can confidently facilitate the effective delivery of performance insights, build connections and support a strong team cohesion
- Forward-thinking approach - you're motivated to continuously challenge, learn and move forward and you're able to to emerging technologies and their application in automating working processes
