Account Director, Strategic Accounts – UK

Account Director – Strategic Accounts, you’ll be a key player in turning our vision of
Experience as a Service® into reality — helping the world’s largest organisations build empathetic, trust-based relationships with their customers.
This is a consultative, strategic sales role focused on driving growth across our top-tier Enterprise accounts in the UK and Ireland — both through deepening existing customer relationships and winning new logos.
What You’ll Do
As an Account Director, you will:
- Take ownership of a select portfolio of our most complex and high-value customers across the UK & Ireland.
- Drive revenue growth through expansion, upselling, and cross-selling of Genesys Cloud, Digital, and AI solutions.
- Lead complex consultative sales cycles with a focus on business outcomes, using frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at C-suite level, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in customer experience strategy.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams – including Customer Success, Professional Services, Technical Sales – and external partners to deliver outstanding results.
- Build strong, strategic account plans aligned to both Genesys’ value proposition and customer goals.
- Track and forecast performance accurately in Salesforce, maintaining clear pipeline visibility and predictability.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and represent Genesys as a thought leader in CX innovation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a passionate, ambitious and experienced sales professional who:
- Has 12+ years of success in complex solution sales, ideally within SaaS, CCaaS, Digital, or Customer Engagement technologies.
- Brings a proven track record of managing and growing large Enterprise accounts, including net new logo acquisition and account expansion.
- Has experience selling into the UKI market and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Is confident using MEDDPICC or similar methodology to manage sophisticated sales processes.
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-driven environment and brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Communicates with clarity and impact, and builds strong relationships based on trust and value creation.
- Is comfortable working both directly and via partners to drive results.
