Description
The Account Manager will have responsibility for the delivery of Enva's account management strategy within their assigned portfolio of accounts. This strategy is focused on the key objectives of sector expertise, added value, upsell and retention. The AM will manage a portfolio of accounts and will be expected to coordinate activity within their portfolio to deliver on key strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- To become the recognised expert within their assigned sectors.
- To work closely with sales and marketing to drive sector activity.
- To contribute to marketing content for their sectors (social media, articles, website, blogs).
- To research and build relationships with leading industry bodies within their sectors.
- To deliver the strategy of added value to key accounts within their portfolio.
- To drive the implementation of strategic plans.
- To work closely with other departments within Enva to improve the delivery of our key strategic objectives.
- To build relationships with key accounts at a senior level.
- To be the first point of escalation for customer issues and be a key interface between the customer and Enva Operations for service development and issue resolution.
- To conduct periodic customer service review meetings.
- To review customer management information for presentation both internally and externally to ensure consistency and quality of output.
- To monitor and report on increases/decreases in revenue and profitability for key accounts.
Retention:
- To implement a robust retention strategy and manage key account contract renewals.
- To proactively address at risk customers ensuring that customer needs are met whilst maintaining an agreed level of profitability. This includes accounts whose revenue may be shrinking and accounts where contract price is no longer competitive.
Upsell:
- To identify opportunities for additional services relevant and specific to their sectors.
- To record all comms to customers including proposals and quotations on the Enva CRM system.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- A proven leader with excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Excellent organisational and delegation skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload for self and team
- High level of numeracy and literacy
- Technical Solution Selling Skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all levels
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong IT skills including use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- MS CRM knowledge and competency
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working within a progressive Sales Team demonstrating high levels of competency
- In depth technical knowledge and experience within the industry
- Qualification in Chemistry or equivalent would be preferable
