Our Sales Team
The purpose of the Sales Team is to drive growth with our accounting practice partners, both through signing and onboarding new practices and expanding the use of FreeAgent within our existing partners. We have teams that support the following three areas of our customer lifecycle; prospecting, onboarding and expansion. The Account Manager role primarily focuses on expansion with our practice partners.
The role
We're recruiting for an Account Manager (AM) to join our Regional Sales Team in the Accountancy Practice Division here at FreeAgent. As an AM you will be focusing on a portfolio of accountancy firms to execute the strategy and activities to optimise the potential number of clients and revenue from each practice customer.
Day to day your role will involve:
- Increasing revenue from both new and existing partners - creating your own opportunities while being supported with leads from marketing campaigns and existing partnerships
- Identifying a high standard of new and existing sales opportunities, to ensure time invested in each prospective sale is well spent
- Providing all clients with a market-leading customer experience
- Adhering to a defined sales process and providing continuous feedback on this process, including risks and obstacles to support improvements to the sales cycle
- Providing an accurate, comprehensive and timely pipeline, with forecast and deal progression reporting
- Confidently and professionally presenting the FreeAgent software throughout the sales process, keeping up with any product updates, and representing FreeAgent at events, exhibitions, etc, as required

Ideally you'll have:
- demonstrated experience in either a sales, account or relationship management role
- experience working to and achieving monthly targets
- an appreciation for the challenges facing SME clients of accountancy practices and the application of technology within business
- a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation skills
- enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, with a high level of competence in office based technology

Work pattern for this role
This is a permanent, full time role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
This role will be based in our Edinburgh office, however there will be an opportunity to adopt hybrid working, under an agreed pattern of 2 days from the office and 3 days at home each week. Working from home is second nature to us as we have been championing remote working for 16 years.

Annual starting salary of £33,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, with room to progress to £37,500 within the band.
We also offer a competitive uncapped commission package.
