We’re looking for an Account Manager to join the team and help us realise the growing opportunity that exists within our customer base, and who can collaborate effectively with our other customer facing teams.
What’s the opportunity for an Account Manager at Gearset?
- Be part of developing this emerging sales function at Gearset. Joining the first few folk to have taken on this role, there’s plenty of growth opportunity and lots to learn from what the current team have already tried and achieved.
- This is a key role for Gearset’s growth in 2025. You will drive revenue growth by delivering new solutions for your customers, with a focus on selling new product lines into current active accounts.
- As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing revenue across your designated territory. For the accounts you manage, you will be the sole commercial owner, working alongside Customer Success Managers who will be jointly responsible for the success of your accounts.
- Owning the overall sales cycle, from initial conversation through to commercial discussion, and winning the opportunity.
- Deliver product demos with strong levels of interactivity, and guide our prospects through the full sales cycle.
- Become a Gearset product expert after receiving full product training from our in-house team, becoming able to position Gearset above others in the market.
- Become a key part of the sales team which thrives on competitive collaboration to ensure success for everyone in the team.
What you’ll achieve
- Accurately forecast sales targets, meeting (or exceeding) them.
- You’ll build a deep understanding of our users and common pains, our products, the Salesforce platform, and DevOps concepts.
- Collaborate and learn from team members across the business to expand your technical product knowledge, and become an expert in the values of Gearset. Influence Gearset’s product roadmap by sharing prospect feedback with the
- marketing and development teams, to ensure we’re continuing to build a world-class solution.
About you
- Previous experience selling a product as either an Account Manager, Account Executive or Renewals Manager
- Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Proven long term relationship building with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- You will be a strategic and critical thinker
- You love to learn and improve, and you're comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback to make your work (and your colleagues) even better Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to engage professionally with prospects
- Have the drive to have confidence in your knowledge of our solutions to be able to provide high quality customer demos
- You’re a team player, able to help shape our rapidly-growing team
Great to haves
- Experience selling an Enterprise level SaaS product
- Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem and/or DevOps
Salary and benefits (the stuff you’d expect!)
- Salary of £35k - £50k base with a realistic OTE of £45k - £70k (depending on experience)
- This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a week in the office)
- Hours will be a mix of UK, and US East Coast 1pm - 9pm UK
