Mash Direct is an award winning, reputable and innovative business that is well established in the NI, ROI and GB retail market. We are a producer of an extensive range of gluten free mash, chipped and vegetable products and have a proud record of Taste and Quality accolades from across the agri food sector. We grow our own produce and our manufacturing facility is based on a working farm in the Northern Ireland countryside.
2025 will see the business targetting growth of our brand and product across the England and Scotland retail sector. The business is looking to recruit two driven Sales Account Managers to lead this business expansion.
We are seeking talented and experienced Sales Accounts Managers with a passion for the food industry, capable of working independently who will deliver sales with the wider support of the commercial team at Mash Direct.
SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER (England)
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Senior Commercial Team, develop and implement a strategic plan to drive business growth and increase market share in designated territory area (Scotland / GB)
- Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with key retailers in the marketplace, wholesalers, and stakeholders
- Meet sales targets and oversee the execution of sales strategies to achieve growth objectives in the retail market.
- Monitor and analyzs sales performance, providing actionable insights and adjusting strategies to maximise revenue.
- Work with key accounts to secure existing orders and relationships and to drive expansion and penetration of the food market.
- Work closely with internal functions to ensure service deliveries are on time and to customer order.
- Drive brand visibility and positioning by collaborating with the marketing team to execute localized campaigns.
- Regularly report on market conditions with the senior commercial team and report on sales results.
- Provide insights into regional market trends and recommend adjustments to the overall commercial strategy.
Applicants should have
- Business or Marketing degree will be an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG business development or sales within the GB
- Strong understanding of FMCG dynamics in GB with knowledge and experience in navigating local regulatory and consumer landscapes.
- Independent, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepared to work flexible hours and to travel as needed.
- Highly organised, self & result-driven.
- Excellent social, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong MS office skills for sales figure analysis, reporting, and presentation.
- Full driving licence.

- Passion for food and the food industry is highly desirable, as this aligns with our brand values and culture.
- Good knowledge of food manufacturing
- Excellent, established relationships with key retailers in the agri food market.
