JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Analyst (Maternity Cover)

JOB LOCATION: Belfast (hybrid working)

TERMS: 12 month maternity cover



THE JOB

This role is key within our finance team, requiring a strong financial/accounts payable background to ensure accuracy in the timely processing and payment of all invoices and the associated reconciliation and reporting.


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Monitor incoming and processing high volume of supplier invoices
  • Ensuring correct coding on invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statement to ledger
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure invoices are approved for posting/payment
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure POs are receipted in for month end closing
  • CIS Processing & Returns
  • Preparation and posting of bank reconciliations
  • Assistance with sales ledger transaction processing
  • Weekly reporting on invoice status and actioning
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the AP Manager


WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

Experience

  • 2+ years working within an accounts payable department / finance department
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and understanding of the world of supplier invoicing
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Structured and organised
  • Self-starter


Desirable

  • Experience dealing with high volumes of invoices and processing to strict deadlines
  • Proven capabilities in adapting quickly to new systems and changing processes
