An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable assistant role within the Accounts Payable and Financial Control team, part of the UK Shared Service Centre.

The role will be based in Brentwood along with the wider UK and Group finance Teams. This is a permanent position.


Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to take on new tasks quickly and work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work processes.
  • Previous experience in an Accounts payable role is required.
  • Experience of working in a shared service centre environment is an advantage.
  • Good IT literacy skills, especially Excel.

Key activities:

  • Gathering utilities usage data from supplier portals and other UK contact points for input into our sustainability system (Accuvio).
  • Processing some Supplier Invoices and supporting our outsourced partners with processing queries in the SUN system.
  • Accounts Payable operational support and supplier queries.
  • Bank reconciliations for multiple companies in multiple currencies.
  • Processing Interface Journals and Bank Journals.
  • Reviewing Payment run proposals.
  • Providing Month end accrual data to the reporting team.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and Raising Intercompany Invoices.
  • Supporting the Intercompany reconciliation process.
  • Payment Approvals
