Job Responsibility

To be part of the HV Project delivery team responsible for developing, estimating, planning and delivering connection projects in line with company values and objectives.

Market segments:

• Electrical Substations and connections - mainly at 11kV and 33kV
• DNO Contestable Works
• Electrical Vehicle Charging

Job Duties:

• Support Team of Project Managers in the EV Sector with Delivery and Design Milestones
• Control and Report of Sector Project Scopes
• Prepare and lead internal Risk Review with Actemium M&E Perimeter and Vinci Energies UK Board of Directors
• Commercial Lead
• Lead Customer Enquiries
• Assist the Design Engineer in developing the project at the Tendering stage
• Support Tendering and Risk Review Process
• Coordinate Site surveys and preliminary studies
• Manage and deliver a portfolio of construction projects from design handover to construction completion/Energization, including all associated commissioning works.
• Review the project on design handover and ensure the project is ready for construction.
• Prepare and maintain the project delivery program.
• Determine labour and resource requirements
• Coordinate procurement with suppliers and Sib-Contractors
• Commercial Project reporting
• Managing and reporting project milestones.
• Dynamic Risk Review
• Change Management and Contract compliance
• Ensure projects are delivered to exceed the client’s expectations within agreed-upon timescales and return the expected profitability.
• Effective and professional communication with all project stakeholders: DNO/IDNO, Clients, Councils, Supply Chain, and internal teams
• Ensure that the regulatory compliance, including Electricity at Work, H&S, ESQCR, NERS and CDM Regulations.
• Coordinate the completion of project documentation such as As-Laid drawings and commissioning reports.
• Preparation of construction phase safety documentation on the projects, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and H&S plans where necessary
• Preparation of Handover and Completion Packs
  
  

Additional Duties:

• Overall responsibility for the project
• Monthly reporting of the project profit and loss
• Responsibility for project profitability through Dynamic Procurement System
• Direct contact with the client representing Actemium Brand
• Coordinate project requirements at the design stage with civil, electrical, protection & control designers with support from Project Design Engineer
  
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 5 years HV 11kV Substation/Cable delivery to NERS requirements
• Experience in delivery of 33kV connection to DNO/IDNO Specifications
• Strong commercial background
• Working knowledge of Contract Law
• In-depth knowledge of British Standards and G81’s
• Working knowledge of office software – MS word, excel, PowerPoint, project
• HNC minimum qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline – preferred
• IEng Member of The IET - preferred
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership - preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD / Amtech – preferred
• 66kV Experience - preferred
