Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive are keen to hear from Interim Lawyers with experience in the Restructuring & Insolvency to join our client, a global financial services firm on a six month fixed term contract.
Role Duties:
- Providing commercial and practical legal advice in relation to English banking, insolvency and restructuring law and transactions
- The role holder will have knowledge of and be involved in discussions relating to bank lending products; security; guarantees; the serving of default and demand notices; formal reservations of rights; set-off; facility agreement amendments (e.g. covenant resets, margin/fees adjustments); debt sales and debt for equity swaps; and customer business/asset sales
- General day-to-day transactional support, particularly on larger exposures
Person Specification:
- Qualified solicitor in Ireland or England with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in financial services and Restructuring .
- Experience gained in-house (in another financial institution) or in a reputable law firm.
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry guidance in the UK
- Happy to work in the London office three days a week.
