Job Description
Cornwall Adult Education are seeking to appoint an organised, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to provide general administrative support duties within the Helston Adult Education Hub.
You will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive administrative service supporting the busy day-to-day operation of the Adult Education Centre and associated Skills for Life Centres. Acting as a professional point of contact for all customer enquiries by telephone, electronically or face to face, you will process enrolments and payments for courses and deal with completion paperwork and provide general support to tutors and learners. Experience of using a management information system is desirable.
You will require a good level of experience and be a team player. You will be able to manage and prioritise workloads in a pressurised environment and process a significant volume of work with speed and a high degree of accuracy. You will have a good knowledge of office packages including Outlook, Word and spreadsheets, and be willing to undertake further training as required.
An NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin, Customer Care or IAG or 2 years’ experience in an admin/customer service role is desirable.
Cornwall Adult Education is a community-based organisation maintained, although not funded, by Cornwall Council.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
