Looking for a new challenge? Would you like the opportunity to bring your administrative skills to a patient facing role where you will be supporting Anticoagulant Clinics within our Trust? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Anticoagulation Service is situated within Pathology at Chorley Hospital. We work across sites at Royal Preston Hospital and within the community at Bamber Bridge Clinic.

You will be guided in your role by a fantastic, friendly team of Specialist Anticoagulant Nurses and Clinic Coordinators. Our aim is to find a conscientious and well-organised individual to support the service. Within this role you will have patient contact when assisting with clinics, therefore, excellent communication skills, a positive professional manner, and a drive to provide the best possible care for patients are essential qualities.

We can't possibly describe everything in one advert, so we would love you to get in touch and join us for an informal visit to meet the team and find out more about the role!

As the Administrative Support for the Anticoagulation Service you will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. In a polite and courteous manner, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective administrative role for the service, with strict adherence to Trust protocols, being aware of the need for confidentiality and compliance with information governance.

You will play a key role in the day to day running for the service by performing data inputting, activating and discharging outpatient appointments, managing phone calls, greeting clinic patients and directing clinic flow.

You must be flexible when working between office based and clinical environments, able to exercise initiative, and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism. You will need to be a self-motivated individual with proven administration skills, and be open and accessible to provide the required support for queries, advice and support to patients.

Excellent IT skills will be essential in managing your workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

We have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.

Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.

You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
