At Shared Services Connected Limited, we're seeking several Administrators to join our Defence Business Service and support our veterans. Your mission will be to solve backlogged pension cases, providing a thorough pension re-assessment processing service for personnel transitioning from or who have already left the Navy, Army, or Royal Air Force. This role is both significant and varied, requiring a high level of confidentiality.
We have several 12 and 18 month fixed-term contracts based at our central Glasgow site. You'll be part of a close-knit team that offers constant support and guidance. These full-time roles require 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working hours available from Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm, including the option for a compressed working week. These are office based roles and you will be required in the office 5 days a week.
While experience in the financial sector is advantageous, it is not crucial. We are looking for someone who can effectively collaborate in a team-oriented office setting, follow established processes, handle complex data proficiently, and demonstrate attention to detail.
What you'll be doing:
- Re-assessing pension benefits that are due to members in accordance with policy
- Updating systems to make sure accurate records are held of members entitlements
- Communicating at all levels via phone calls and emails
- Working to set government processes and procedures
What you’ll bring:
- Numeracy skills and ability to process complex data
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)
- Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients
- A flexible manner and approach
- Ability to set and achieve performance targets

- Financial and/or Pension Sector experience
