Position Overview
We’re on the lookout for exceptionally talented individuals with a relevant engineering degree (Electronics, Information Sciences, Software) or similar. Crux Electronics & Software Engineers bring their electronics engineering expertise, including analytical, theoretical, and experimental capabilities to Crux’s client projects.
This is a unique opportunity to help change the face of engineering within the medical devices sector, using innovation to solve complex problems, and deliver creative engineering solutions to both the pharmaceutical and consumer industries.
The role will involve new PCB schematic/layout design build and test, as well as embedded firmware development.

Principal Responsibilities
- Electronic schematic capture and PCB layout. (Crux use Altium, but previous experience of this is not essential).
- Embedded firmware development.
- Writing requirements and design specifications using various Microsoft Office apps.
- Attending client meetings when required and contributing to client presentations.
- Being a team player who is willing to help and learn from others.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Achieved a first or high 2:1 classification in a relevant accredited degree program.
- Analogue and Digital Electronics Hardware Design.
- Signal Processing Algorithms.
- Behavioural Modelling.
- Microcontrollers (STM32, Nordic nRF52 etc.).
- Low Power Design.
- Wireless Communications (Bluetooth / BLE etc.).
- Embedded C/C++.
- RTOS.
- Schematic Capture and PCB Layout.
- Experimental and/or prototyping skills.
- Appetite for solving difficult and unusual problems.
- Ability to work within multiple cross-disciplinary teams and be client facing.
