Job Description
The Aerodrome Compliance Coordinator assumes a critical role in implementing the Airside Works Plan, contributing to the strategic management of work schedules. Collaborating with your team, you will all play a pivotal role in ensuring the execution of safety restrictions across the Airfield.
The core duty of this role involves initiating technical and physical safeguarding of cranes and drones within Heathrow. Ensuring unrestricted airside operations and optimal flight safety. You will control these activities through the administration of Airside Works Permits and the facilitation of meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
Please be aware this is a Monday to Friday business hours role so will not attract shift allowance.
Your role will involve
- Planning of Airside works to minimise conflicts with persons, vehicles, equipment and aircraft engaged in day to day operational activities.
- Chairing works programme meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviewing and approving Airside works permits, including method and risk, ensuring works are planned and conducted in a compliant and safe manner in line with current HAL/EASA policies and procedures.
- Reviewing and approval of applications for cranes and high-lifting equipment.
- Reviewing and approval of all drone flight applications.
- Auditing of internal and external contractors for quality and compliance to Heathrow policies & procedures and legal & statutory regulations.
These Skills Are Essential
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders to manage ambiguity & influencing skills.
- Current UK driving licence holder, capable of securing an Airfield driving permit.
- Excellent planning skillset, able to organise and prioritised complex and interlinked workload.
- Excellent English language skill and computer literacy to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
These skills are desirable:
- Understanding of aviation regulation to appreciate an understanding of airlines’ business models, their drivers, and challenges.
- Experience of working in an Airside Operations environment.
